DUOLINGO – FREE ONLINE

The world’s most popular way to learn Spanish online. Learn Spanish in just 5 minutes a day with our game-like lessons. Whether you’re a beginner starting with the basics or looking to practice your reading, writing, and speaking, Duolingo is scientifically proven to work.

“I love Duolingo much better than Rosetta Stone, so far anyway. It is fun! What I really like is that it starts you out by testing to see where you are so you can start where you need to. I already have some Spanish background but hope to become fluent, so this is helpful. I enjoy it and it has you set goals. Mine is 20 minutes each day. Thank you for sharing this tool, I would recommend it to others.”
– Collette (NUSD employee)

COLLEGE COURSE REIMBURSEMENT

NUSD staff can receive reimbursement for the tuition of one Spanish class at the College of Marin. The course must be taken during the 2017-2018 school year, and passed with a “C” or better. Available courses can be found on the following websites:

Please complete a reimbursement form, attach your enrollment receipt and final grade, and submit to Cyndee Cannon (HR) at the District Office or at [email protected].

PLEASE NOTE: Employees who opt for tuition reimbursement are not eligible for Professional Development credit.
