(IEP) team has designated the use of an alternate assessment on statewide summative assessments.

CAST results will be released at a later date during the school year.

Along with replacing ELA and math paper-based tests with the computer-based CAASPP tests, the California Department of Education has created an online reporting system. Student Score Reports for ELA and mathematics can now be accessed electronically through the parent portal on our student information system Aeries available at https://aeries.nusd.org/parent/.

If you do not have an Aeries account, go to following link to create an account https://nusd.org/aeriesaccount/.

To learn more about your child’s scores, please visit CDE’s new parent web page called Starting Smarter, available at https://ca.startingsmarter.org/. This site includes resources to help understand student scores and provides access to sample questions and practice tests.

In our district, the test results are just one way to look at how our students are doing. We use the results to find areas where students are doing well and areas in which they need help. It is also important to know that the test results are not used to determine whether a student moves to the next grade.

If you have questions regarding the assessments, please call the school office.  Parents/guardians may request a printed copy of the Student Score Report from your child’s school office.

Thank you.

Gracias.
