Hard work and personal attributes have resulted in achievement for students and staff alike.

  • SMHS Wrestling Team MCAL Tournament-Champions for the first time in 20 years!
    Congrats to Dan Donaldson and his team!
  • SMHS Mock Trial – Congrats to Students and Parents, and Professional Attorney Coaches! San Marin teams have been competing for the last few years. Awards include:
    • MVP Laura Kilgariff – closing arguments-defense attorney.
    • MVP Dina Johnson – closing argument-prosecution attorney.
    • Coaches: Thank to SMHS Attorneys Eric Johnson, Ed Sangster, Jim Lynch, Michael Mandelbrot, Kaitlyn Thomas and Rob Oser and Haley McFadden, teacher, and Maria Johnson, parent, for supporting our students.

      San Marin Mock Trial

  • NHS MSA Theatre had an amazing showing with Gold Honors at the Lenaea festival in One Act Shakespeare’s interpretation of the Tempest and Musical Theatre.
  • MSA had 27 Creative Writing Students recognized in the regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards earning the highest Gold Key recognition.
  • NHS Cheer Team – First Place National Cheer Competition and First Place JAMZ Competition!

  • Marla’s nominator says Marla deserves recognition for going beyond what is expected with a smile and focus on students and colleagues alike.
  • Marla has been handling attendance and Independent Study student contract documentation on her own since December for over 1245 students at NHS.
  • Marla has a positive spirit, never complains, and has a smile on her face to brighten the day for others.
  • The COVID Independent Study packets are processed without question and she understands the importance of recovering

Even with the challenges we all experienced with COVID, our staff and students continue to move forward in their lives to bring normalcy, achievement, and care for others a top priority.

NUSD Parcel Tax Blue Ribbon Committee

NUSD Parcel Tax Blue Ribbon Committee is open to all who live or work in Novato. The purpose of the Committee is to gather community input regarding school programs and community perceptions of NUSD to help determine the future of a Parcel Tax in Novato. Honest feedback and constructive recommendations for improvement are greatly appreciated. Come help us determine what is best for our children in the Novato community.

Four mandatory meetings will be held at Novato High School from 6 PM until 9 PM on four consecutive Wednesdays.

Committee members must commit to all four meetings, and they must attend the entire time. Dinner will be provided! Committee meetings are on the following dates:

  • April 13, 2022, 6-9 pm
  • April 20, 2022, 6-9 pm
  • April 27, 2022, 6-9 pm
  • May 4, 2022, 6-9 pm
