The Novato Unified School District needs community input –parent, staff, student – on its spending plan in the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

NUSD is hosting a Community Meeting and Superintendent Talk to review the LCAP and budget, as well as a short discussion on NUSD’s crossing guards.  This event will take place on Wednesday, April 4, at 6:30 pm in the Board Room at the District Office, 1015 SeventhStreet, Novato.

The purpose of the meeting is to review the draft LCAP Summary “Short Version” –  Proposed LCAP Strategies for comments and input.  The draft LCAP Summary is available for review and can be found on the NUSD website under LCAP (LocalControl and Accountability Plan) under About NUSD.  Spanish interpretation will be available at the meeting.

The complete draftLCAP will be presented to the Board of Trustees at the June 12 Board meeting.  A hearing for the LCAP will also take place that evening. Final approval of the NUSD LCAP is on the agenda for the June 19 Board meeting.Please direct any questions, comments or feedback to Leslie Benjamin, Director, Communications & Community Engagement, lbenjamin@nusd.org.
