NUSD is committed to environmental conservation and sustainable practices. In an effort to better serve the community while saving trees, all schools in the Novato Unified School District switched to digital flyer delivery with Peachjar in the summer of 2017. Since then, NUSD has saved 1,115,062 sheets of paper and 134 trees!

This effort has reduced waste, promoted sustainability, and saved valuable time and money by replacing backpack mail with electronic delivery of flyers.  Families can view the flyers on right on their smartphone or computer screen.  By sending school and community information home digitally, NUSD has eliminated the need to copy and distribute thousands of sheets of paper annually. In addition, this initiative has further strengthened the district’s initiative to embrace sustainable practices and technology.
