This will be the last newsletter for VLA. It has been a challenging year for everyone. We hope VLA provided your children with a strong educational experience. Here are some highlights and background for VLA this year. We wish you all a restful summer vacation.
VLA students participated for many reasons: health, family schedules, and flexibility for outside activities
Positives: Students got to have family flexibility to be remote and travel, supported unique health needs of students and families
Barriers: Some students did not have reliable internet to access their platforms, Many of the elementary classes were combination classes, middle school had multiple schedule changes to be in alignment with other schools, and high schools had many mixed.
Most K-5 VLA students had the opportunity to participate in VLA at their home school.
