Career and Technical Education (CTE):

  • provides hands-on experience to students to help them prepare for a career they are passionate about.
  • integrates academic, technical, and occupational knowledge to provide students with pathways to high-demand, livable-wage careers.
  • prepares learners for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies and makes academic content accessible to students by providing it in a hands-on context, a key element to learners finding and preparing for a career they are passionate about.

Apprenticeship and Preapprenticeship Program Information
In accordance with California Education Code § 48980.5, Novato Unified School District provides information to students in grades 11 and 12 about local apprenticeship and preapprenticeship opportunities. Families can explore these programs using the Division of Apprenticeship Standards' official database provided by the California Department of Industrial Relations.
