Expanded Learning Opportunities Program
NUSD offers an Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) designed to serve eligible students in Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 6. The District partners with the YMCA to provide students with additional after school and summer programming that is focused on enrichment activities and academic support.
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program extends the school day to a nine-hour day to ensure qualifying students are provided with additional services that focus on developing the academic, social-emotional services, and physical fitness needs of the students in order to prepare them for success in school and in the future.
ELOP eligibility includes students who are English learners, eligible for free and reduce meal program, Foster Youth and Homeless.
