Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
- AVID prepares students for college readiness and success by developing skills in writing, critical thinking, teamwork, organization, and reading.
- Provides students and parents with information on the coursework and requirements for college admission.
Career and Technical Education (CTE)
- Career and technical education (CTE) focuses on providing hands-on experience to students to help them prepare for a career they are passionate about.
- Offers students the opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate by receiving instruction in English and a second language.
- Provides preschool-aged children with foundational learning experiences to promote school readiness and early childhood development.
- Supports students whose primary language is not English, helping them achieve proficiency in English and academic success.
Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P)
- Provides extended learning opportunities to enhance student engagement and academic growth.
Marin School of the Arts (MSA)
- A specialized arts program within Novato High School, offering education in visual arts, performing arts, writing, and technical arts.
Medical Careers Pathways (MCP)
- Prepares students for careers in healthcare by introducing various aspects of medical fields and developing academic, social, and professional skills.
- Proposition 28 provides dedicated funding to expand arts and music education in our schools. Starting in the 2023-24 school year, this initiative ensures nearly $1 million annually to grow and enhance arts programs across the district.
- Offers students flexibility to continue their education independently for short periods while maintaining academic progress.
- A comprehensive STEM program at San Marin High School, offering pathways in Engineering, Biotechnology, and Art in Science.
