March 1, 2024 NFT Negotiations Update
The parties exchanged proposals, discussed the impact of possible certificated reductions, and reviewed draft job descriptions that NUSD is planning to bring to the March 5th board meeting. The parties have scheduled their next negotiations session for Friday, March 22nd.

January 25, 2024 NFT Negotiations Update

The parties met together on Thursday January 25, 2024. Agreements were reached regarding an MOU to address the Intent to Separate Stipend in light of a possible PARS Retirement Incentive Program, as well as agreement about which members do not qualify for the Intent to Separate Stipend and how that will be communicated. NUSD presented for NFT’s consideration draft evaluation documents and rubrics to be piloted for “specialists” (Counselor, Nurse, SLP, Psychologist) in 24-25. The rubric for Psychologists will be brought by NUSD at the next negotiations session. NUSD proposed another MOU regarding secondary counselor caseloads, which NFT will consider. The parties are scheduled to meet again on Friday, March 1, 2024

September 13, 2023 NFT Negotiations Update

The parties met for a first negotiations session on Wednesday September 13. Each team reviewed their reopener items and the interests associated with them, as well as any interests associated with the other team’s reopeners. NUSD presented three Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for NFT’s consideration. The next negotiations session is scheduled for Thursday October 5th.
