INTERDISTRICT TRANSFER
(from the district of residence to a Novato Unified School)
TRANSFER APPLICATION
Families must obtain the following documents and submit them with the NUSD Interdistrict Transfer Application.
- A Request for Interdistrict Transfer form from your district of residence (Solicitud de Transferencia Entre Distritos) (El formulario está debajo de la versión en inglés, desplácese hacia abajo)
- A copy of the student’s most recent transcript/report card
- A copy of the student’s attendance
- A copy of the student’s discipline
Once you have these documents, please submit them with the NUSD Interdistrict Transfer Application:
NUSD will notify a parent submitting a current year request of its final decision within 30 calendar days from the date the request was received, and notify a parent submitting a future year request of its final decision as soon as possible, but no later than 14 calendar days after the commencement of instruction in the school year for which inter-district transfer is sought. If the district denies a request for an inter-district transfer, parents have the right to appeal to the county board of education within 30 calendar days from the date of the final denial.
