Work Permit Information

To receive a work permit, students must be attending school regularly and have 2.0 GPA.

The first step is to find a job. It is a great idea to bring this form with you to an interview and demonstrate your eagerness to get started!

• Statement of Intent to Employ a Minor and Request for a Work Permit-Certificate of Age CDE Form B1-1(DOC)

Once you have your employer fill out the form, and a parent/guardian signs off, please bring the form to your school so they may issue the work permit. Work permits are valid for one school year, and therefore have to be renewed each August.
