Collegiate Athletics
To pursue collegiate athletics after high school, student-athletes must first understand the requirements, opportunities, and processes.
High school counselors collaborate with students, parents, and coaches to manage core course planning and meet college entrance eligibility standards, such as A-G in California for public 4-year universities. Requirements for collegiate athletics may differ and/or go beyond these standards. To ensure eligibility and a smooth transition, student-athletes should maintain close communication with their college contacts throughout the entire process.
