Apprenticeships: Earn While You Learn!

What is an Apprentice?

Apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction to prepare workers for highly skilled careers.

Workers benefit from apprenticeships by receiving a skills-based education that prepares them for good-paying jobs. Apprenticeship programs help employers recruit, build, and retain a highly-skilled workforce.

How to Become an Apprentice

Qualities that successful apprentices share include perseverance, ambition, and initiative. Educational requirements vary; some programs prefer applicants with a high school diploma or its equivalent, while others may have more rigorous standards, and some have no educational requirement. Some programs require you to take an aptitude or other kinds of tests. Most programs require English proficiency.
