The County of Marin Department of Health and Human services provides over 40 programs and services, including programs and services for behavioral health and recovery, social services, and homelessness and whole person care.
The Emergency Rental Assistance, Prevention and Stabilization Program is part of NMCS’s Case Management family of services and provides one-time financial support primarily to Novato residents who are at risk of losing their stable housing or who need help with securing a deposit for housing.
Our weekly food pantry is open to low-income Novato residents every Tuesday afternoon between 1-3pm. Healthy foods are provided to clients, including produce, dairy, canned and dried foods, and a protein.
Marin Transit offers an annual pass that is distributed through participating Marin County schools. With a Youth Pass, registered Marin County students and youth ages 18 and under are able to ride on local routes in Marin (excluding any Golden Gate Transit regional or commute routes such as the 30/40/70/101 lines) without paying any additional fare.
